Ms. Marta Gramatyka
I love being involved in the local community and being able to have an impact on other people's life ... I wanted to try something new, as I've never tried MUN or debates before. I like the atmosphere in the organization, as well as the multitude of opportunities if offers.
Marta joined Hong Kong Model ASEAN Summit 2020 as a Delegate. She served as an intern from 1 June 2020 to 31 August 2020. She is now Deputy Secretary General of International Model ASEAN Second Executive Committee. She conducts training sessions for schools. |
Ms. Simran Gandhi
The Fourth International Model ASEAN Summit was my first international conference. It was a great learning experience for me. Everyone was friendly and understanding. Apart from the debate, the cultural activities were culturally enriching for me too.
Having joined the First Model ASEAN Ambassador Programme (MAAP-1), Simran served as an intern from December 2020 to February 2021. She is now Deputy Secretary General of International Model ASEAN Association Second Executive Committee. She is the incoming Secretary General of International Model ASEAN Third Executive Committee. |
Ms. Natalie Zeng
Driven by my great passion to learn about people, cultures, groups, and nations around the world, and endlessly intrigued by the complex dimensions and matrix of inter-relationships of the world, I joined Model ASEAN Associations ... expecting to build up connections with local and international people, and more importantly gain experiences in academic simulation activity ... [C]ultural diversity is highly celebrated here ... make friends with open-minded people and have meaningful discussions.
Natalie is a past President of Hong Kong Baptist University Model United Nations Club. |
Mr. Carl Jebby Daug
At first, I joined the activities to just try things out ... who knows I might learn new things? The result was far more than that. The activities gave me the space to grow and learn without feeling overwhelmed or not good enough. It is a great platform especially when you are just starting with these kinds of conferences like Model United Nations, Model ASEAN, etc. The environment is just so friendly and the services that the association provides are unparalleled. I was able to learn a lot with the materials, was prepared, the things that I don't know were supplemented, and most importantly, it gave me a real chance to discover myself without worrying about what technical things I should and should not do.
Carl was a delegate of the January Forum and Southeast Asian Model United Nations. He shared about the Government and Politics of the Philippines in our activities. |
